Dr. Vinod Kumar Murti

Dr. Vinod Kumar Murti is an industry-turned-academician with 17 years in engineering and 20 years in academics. He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA in Finance and Marketing, and a PhD in Finance — a rare combination that gives him a unique lens across technical, business, and research domains.

His engineering career spans Wesman Halverscheidt Forgings, LML, Roto Pumps, and Madhusudan Nippon, with international assignments in Germany and Bahrain. He later transitioned into data analytics education and corporate training, and now serves as Country Head – India for the Institute of Analytics (IoA), headquartered in London.

He is an IBM Authorized Certified Trainer for Predictive Analysis (IBM-CEBT) and has delivered training programs at Accenture, Capgemini, Goldman Sachs, ANZ Bank, Hewlett-Packard, Prudential Global, and State Street. His research focuses on Corporate Bankruptcy Prediction using Neural Networks, Random Forests, SVM, and Genetic Algorithms. He is currently authoring a book on Multivariate Data Analysis.
